The Red Cross Society of China has announced its commitment to offering humanitarian aid and assistance to Afghanistan

Beijing: According to CGTN, the Red Cross Society of China has agreed to donate $200,000 in cash as urgent humanitarian help to the Afghan Red Crescent to support its rescue and disaster relief activities. On Saturday afternoon local time, Afghanistan was shaken by two 6.2-magnitude earthquakes that caused significant property damage and injuries. 2,445 people have died as a result of earthquakes in Herat and surrounding districts in western Afghanistan, according to Herat authorities on Sunday night. The Zanda Jan district in Herat is the most badly damaged, with 13 villages there being “utterly destroyed,” according to Mawlawi Musa Ashari, the provincial director for Herat for the National Disaster Management Authority.
