Prime Minister Kakar emphasizes that the only viable solution to the Palestine issue is a two-state solution

Islamabad: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has expressed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people. He emphasized that Pakistan is committed to using multilateral forums such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to unite in support of the protection and dignity of Palestinians, aligning with their demands. In an interview with the social media platform “Talk Shock,” the prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s longstanding position as a staunch ally of Palestine and pledged continued diplomatic, social, and political support on the global stage.

Prime Minister Kakar stressed that the key to resolving the conflict between Palestine and Israel and achieving stability in the Middle East lies in the establishment of two separate states. He also made it clear that Pakistan does not recognize Israel. While Palestinians had previously reached an agreement with Israel on the two-state mechanism, Israel has consistently denied them their rightful claim.

The caretaker prime minister cautioned that unless the “Palestine Question” is adequately addressed, there is a risk of increased radicalization. He emphasized the need to resolve both the Palestine and Kashmir issues as essential political matters. Regarding India, he expressed Pakistan’s desire for normal relations with all its neighbors but highlighted the importance of addressing the aspirations of Kashmiris for any normalization to be successful.

Prime Minister Kakar distinguished the history of relations between Pakistan and India from those between China and India. He also touched upon the ICC Cricket World Cup being played in India, expressing the hope that the Pakistani cricket team would bring honor to the country. He noted the absence of practical proposals for a visit to India in this regard and urged India to issue visas to Pakistani fans and journalists. He underscored the importance of keeping sports separate from politics and mentioned that Pakistan would have issued visas to Indians if the World Cup were hosted in Pakistan.
