In a move to bolster their collaboration, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in the Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunication sectors. This consensus was achieved during a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Dr. Umar Saif, and the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, in Islamabad.
Dr. Umar Saif emphasized that Pakistani IT companies are eager to expand their presence and business operations in Saudi Arabia. He further encouraged Saudi tech companies to consider investing in Pakistan, highlighting the abundant potential for IT and Telecom professionals in the country. Dr. Saif also pointed out that the investment environment in Pakistan is favorable.
Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki affirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fully cooperate with Pakistan in the fields of IT and Telecom. He assured his complete support in streamlining the visa process for Pakistani IT companies, underlining the readiness to facilitate their entry into the Saudi market. This collaboration signals a promising era of technological advancement and mutual growth for both nations.
