Sculpture of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah Unveiled in Beijing, China

(APP): A formal ceremony was organized at the Jintai Art Museum city on Thursday to reveal the sculpture of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Father of the Nation. The sculpture was expertly made by renowned Chinese sculptor Master Yuan Xikun and was inaugurated by Pakistan’s ambassador to China, Moin ul Haque. It is a testimony to Jinnah’s visionary leadership and stands as a symbol of the long-standing friendship between Pakistan and China.

President of the China-Pakistan Friendship Association Ambassador Sha Zukhang, representatives from the Chinese People’s Association of Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), members of the Pakistani community, and embassy staff all attended the ceremony. Master Yuan Xikun has won a number of important honors and is well-known throughout the world for his sculpture, charity, and environmental awareness.
At the Beijing Jintai Art Museum’s International Celebrities Sculpture Garden, he created 25 sculptures of famous people from throughout the world in the past. In his remarks, Ambassador Moin ul Haque emphasized the significance of the unveiling ceremony, which took place on the same day as the 75th anniversary of Jinnah’s passing.
He commended the creative skill and meticulousness displayed in the making of this sculpture by Master Yuan.

In addition to reiterating their commitment to a China-Pakistan Community of Shared Future, Ambassador Haque highlighted the close ties that exist between China and Pakistan.
He also reflected on Jinnah’s idea of “peace within and peace without” and how it related to friendship between China and Pakistan. He pledged to respect the ideals of their founding fathers and strengthen cultural relations, emphasizing the role of public diplomacy in fostering understanding, appreciation, and cooperation between nations.
Master Yuan stated his gratitude for the opportunity to sculpt Ali Jinnah and his desire to use art to disseminate Jinnah’s views.

In his sculptures, he compared the sublime principles of Jinnah to those of other global sages. He wanted to demonstrate the common progressive ideas of humanity through this project in order to motivate future generations.
The eternal connection between Pakistan and China and the joint commitment of the two nations to fostering it were topics that Ambassador Sha Zukang spoke of with affection.
He also emphasized the significance of today’s event for the cooperation between the two countries in public diplomacy. This unveiling event honors Jinnah’s legacy while reaffirming their shared commitment to constructing a peaceful world and cultivating understanding through the arts. It acts as a potent symbol of the long-lasting friendship between Pakistan and China.
