Azerbaijan Commits to Strengthen Military Cooperation with Pakistan

Baku— The political and military leadership of Azerbaijan has reaffirmed its commitment to elevate cooperation with Pakistan and to take the collaboration between their Armed Forces to new heights.

This pledge was made during a series of meetings between Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir and the leadership of Azerbaijan, including President Ilham Aliyev, Defense Minister, 1st Deputy Minister, and the Chief of General Staff and Commander of the Azerbaijan Air Force in Baku. General Munir is on an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, aimed at bolstering military-to-military cooperation and defense collaboration between the two nations, characterized as brotherly countries.

During the discussions, General Munir emphasized the need to enhance cooperation in the areas of defense and training, underlining the shared commitment to strengthening their military ties. He also expressed his admiration for the high morale and exceptional operational readiness of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

As a gesture of honor, the Chief of Army Staff was warmly welcomed at the General Staff Headquarters and presented with a Guard of Honor. Additionally, General Munir paid his respects by laying a floral wreath at the Alley of Martyrs in Baku, a site commemorating Azerbaijani martyrs.

The commitment to deepen military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan signifies a shared vision to promote regional stability and security in a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape.
