Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar stated that respecting each other’s rights is essential for the formation of a civilized society. The people of Gilgit-Baltistan are known for their hospitality and peace-loving nature, and they will not let a handful of troublemakers disrupt the harmony of their entire society.
Speaking to the media in Gilgit, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Kakar mentioned that the warm reception and love he received from the local people during his visit to Gilgit-Baltistan left a lasting impression on him. Despite the diversity in ethnicity and beliefs, the people of Gilgit-Baltistan live together like a close-knit family. The spirit and vision of Pakistan’s founding father, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, are evident in the society of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant, praised the resilience and high spirits of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, likening them to the towering mountains of the region. The natural beauty of the land and the hospitality of its people not only attract tourists from all over Pakistan but also from around the world. He assured that constitutional questions related to Gilgit-Baltistan would be addressed within the framework of the law. Detailed discussions took place with local leaders, including the Governor and Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan, on improving mining, tourism, and road infrastructure.
Regarding the financial challenges faced by Karakoram International University, he confirmed that discussions were underway, and the federal government would provide all possible cooperation in resolving these issues.
