Recent agreements with China will open a new CPEC chapter: PM

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, in a recent meeting with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong, reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to the successful implementation of projects that have recently been concluded with China across various sectors. He emphasized that these recent agreements between the two nations are set to mark a new chapter in the ongoing China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

During the meeting, Prime Minister Kakar lauded China’s Belt and Road Initiative, acknowledging it as a driving force behind the development and prosperity of the entire region. He expressed his sincere gratitude to Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Chinese leadership for the warm welcome and the arrangements made during his recent visit to China.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister underscored Pakistan’s determination to take decisive steps in executing the Memoranda of Understanding and agreements that were signed during his recent visit to China. He also stressed the deep-rooted and enduring nature of the friendship between China and Pakistan, describing it as being “higher than the towering mountains and deeper than the deep seas.”

Prime Minister Kakar highlighted that both nations continue to reap the benefits of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, demonstrating the tangible impact and mutual advantages of this significant partnership.

In response, the Chinese ambassador assured the Prime Minister of China’s unwavering cooperation in bolstering Pakistan’s development and economic stability, reflecting the strong commitment to this bilateral relationship.
