Prime Minister Kakar staunchly voiced Pakistan’s condemnation of the ceaseless and deadly assaults by Israeli occupation forces, with a particular focus on the alarming bombing of Al-Ahli Hospital. These actions were characterized as deeply deplorable and willful acts of aggression, resulting in the tragic loss of over 3,000 precious lives and leaving more than 12,000 individuals injured.
Both leaders collectively underlined the pressing need for the international community to exert influence on Israel to immediately cease the bloodshed. Furthermore, they reached a consensus on the crucial necessity of ending the blockade on Gaza, which would facilitate the delivery of essential humanitarian aid and medical assistance to the affected populace.
Notably, Pakistan has taken swift action by dispatching its inaugural shipment of humanitarian relief for the Palestinian people, which arrived in Egypt recently. Prime Minister Kakar stressed that the international community, with a spotlight on the United Nations, must take decisive measures to resolve this crisis while steadfastly upholding the principles of justice, humanity, and international law.
Additionally, Prime Minister Kakar reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to a just and lasting resolution of the Palestinian conflict. This commitment is anchored in the “two-state” solution, which envisions the establishment of a sovereign and viable Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, along with the borders that existed prior to 1967.
President Mahmoud Abbas expressed heartfelt gratitude to Pakistan for its longstanding and unwavering support in the Palestinian people’s tireless struggle for freedom from Israeli occupation.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar took to his social media platform ‘X’ to share that during his address to students at Xinjiang University in Urumqi, he raised a resounding voice in support of the voiceless people of Gaza, who are enduring the ruthless aggression by Israel.
