General Syed Asim Munir, the Army Chief, recently paid a visit to an operational air base of the Pakistan Air Force, where he observed the ongoing aerial exercise known as Indus Shield-2023. Notably, this exercise hosted Air Chiefs from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Hungary, who were among the distinguished guests in attendance to witness the PAF’s impressive 14-nation mega air exercise.
During his address to the participants of the exercise, General Syed Asim Munir underlined the vital importance of multinational air drills in the pursuit of common objectives, particularly in light of the ever-evolving dynamics of air warfare.
General Munir acknowledged that the expertise and dedication of the participants had significantly contributed to the development of highly skilled and proficient air warriors who stand ready to confront the challenges posed by modern warfare.
Furthermore, Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, emphasized the exercise’s significance, noting that Indus Shield provides a unique platform for participating air forces to demonstrate their exceptional skills and operational capabilities to the world.
