In a significant development, Pakistan conducted a successful flight test of the Ababeel Weapon System on Wednesday, with the primary objective of re-validating various design, technical parameters, and the performance of different sub-systems within the weapon system.
According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) news release, this missile system aims to bolster deterrence capabilities and enhance strategic stability in the region. It is a key component of Pakistan’s operationalization of Full Spectrum Deterrence within the framework of Credible Minimum Deterrence.
The launch of the test flight was observed by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, along with senior officials from the Strategic Plans Division and Strategic Forces Command, as well as scientists and engineers from various strategic organizations. General Sahir Shamshad Mirza commended the technical expertise, dedication, and commitment of all individuals who contributed to the successful test.
The achievement received congratulations from Pakistan’s President, Prime Minister, and Services Chiefs, further emphasizing the significance of this accomplishment for the nation’s strategic capabilities. This test underscores Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its deterrence capabilities and contribute to regional stability.
