On October 16, 2023, Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, highlighted the significant achievements of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in the successful implementation of road infrastructure and power projects, along with the establishment of Special Economic Zones valued at over $62 billion.
Speaking at an event jointly organized by Bahria University and the China Media Group in Islamabad, Solangi noted that CPEC has transitioned from a Government-to-Government model to a Business-to-Business approach and is now making deeper connections with people through enhanced people-to-people contacts. He emphasized the profound impact of culture and shared values on human lives.
Solangi praised the collaboration between Bahria University and the China Media Group, anticipating that this interactive media initiative will engage and inform the younger generation about the significance of the Pak-China friendship and its manifestation through CPEC. He also stated that the caretaker government is diligently working to facilitate CPEC projects and ensure their successful implementation.
Referring to the Prime Minister’s ongoing visit to China for the 3rd Belt and Road Forum in Beijing, Murtaza Solangi expressed confidence that the strong friendship and cooperation between the two countries will continue to flourish.
Furthermore, in reference to the recent reduction in oil prices, the Minister for Information and Broadcasting assured that the government has fully passed on the relief to the general public.
