Russia to host Speaker’s Conference in Moscow in 2025

Chairman State Duma of Russia accepts invitation of NA Speaker to visit Pakistan

Islamabad :  Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Chairman of State Duma signed a historic Agreement to extend parliamentary  cooperation between State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Moscow, today. The agreement was signed here in Moscow by Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq  and his counterpart H.E. Volodin Vyacheslav Victorovich, Chairman of the Russian State Duma. The agreement aims to enhance ties between the two legislative bodies and establish permanent cooperation mechanisms through parliamentary committees, commissions and parliamentary Friendship  groups.

In his opening remarks, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq noted that he has long ties of friendship with Mr. Volodin Vyacheslav Victorovich, while he is in close contact with some members of the Russian delegation for over a decade. He also thanked Mr. Volodin for accepting his invitation to visit Pakistan.

Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq expressed gratitude to Mr.  Volodin Victorovich for his support to the initiative of Pakistan to convene the Speakers’ Conference. Both sides agreed to hold its fourth session in Moscow in 2025. In this connection, NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also empahsized for enhancing trade and business ties between both nations.

It is pertient to mention that Parliamentary Delegation led by Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq visited State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation today, on the invitation of his counterpart, H.E. Volodin Vyacheslav Victorovich. The two parliamentary leaders held a tête-à-tête, followed by delegation-level talks.
