IIUI facilitation is our top priority”, Dr. Hathal

Islamabad : The newly established food street for the students of the university at male campus was inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President, International Islamic University (IIU).
The guest of honour Capt. (Retd.) Anwar ul Haq, Chief Commissioner / Chairman CDA/ was also accompanied by the President.
The food street has been established to provide a variety of food to students such fast food, traditional dishes and beverages with best dining facilities in the light of the vision of IIUI President to facilitate the students on top priority.
After inauguration, the IIUI President and the guest of honour Capt. (Retd.) Anwar ul Haq visited all the food chains, stalls and cabins dedicated for different food items. The IIUI President also met with the students and inquired about the quality of food and provision of the services. “Your facilitation is our top priority” said Dr. Hathal while directing that the students must not face any problem. He said the goal of the IIUI administration is to provide an ideal milieu to the students across the campus, after students facilitation centre, now this food street is part of that mission. He said more such facilities will be included in near future and told that more such Cafes will be inaugurated in this month. Capt. (Retd.) Anwar ul Haq, appreciated the initiative adding that it is encouraging to see that university leadership is keen to facilitate the students. He also praised the standards and ambiance of the food street.
Both the guest were given briefing about the new set up, quality food provision, hygiene related measures, ambiance of the location, proper sitting for the students and dedicated dining area for the teachers. They were apprised that the locations have been designed in a food street pattern where students without any delay will have all the food items including fast food, BBQ, traditional food, salads and other cuisines.
The university will soon inaugurate more including the one in the female campus near Maryam block and the Cafeteria near the male hostels no 4 .
Later, Capt. (Retd.) Anwar ul Haq, Chairman CDA/ Chief Commissioner also met with IIUI President at his office where issues of mutual interest and role of university in society building was discussed. The IIUI President apprised the Chairman CDA about the vision of university and its newly established strategic plan.
Capt. (Retd.) Anwar ul Haq hailed the efforts of IIUI President for the betterment of university and praised his student centric approach. He said the IIUI is playing a vital role in nurturing the young minds of Muslim world according to contemporary needs and Islamic values.
