Governing Body extends time period till 31-12-2023 for the consultant
RAWALPINDI : The 64th Governing Body meeting of Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) held in RDA Conference Room, which was chaired by the Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Liaqat Ali Chatha.
The Director General RDA Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa and other RDA officers welcomed the Commissioner Rawalpindi. The concerned Directors of RDA gave detailed presentation on their agenda items to the Governing Body.
The Governing Body has approved extension of time till 31-12-2023 for the consultant Mott Macdonald Pakistan (MMP) Company for completion of regional development plan for Rawalpindi district and Peri Urban Structure Plan for tehsils of Rawalpindi including Tehsil Murree and Tehsil Kotli Sattian (except tehsil Rawalpindi). The Body has approved RDA Master Plan / Regional Development Plan Regulations 2023. The Governing Body has approved the endorsement of decision taken in CDA that processing of housing schemes, commercial, buildings, etc. physically fall in ICT limits jurisdiction of the boundary as identified by Survey of Pakistan.
The Governing Body has approved RDA budget for the fiscal year 2023-24 Rs3255 million and WASA budget Rs7189.91 million. Previously it was vetted and estimates of development expenditure was sent to Government of Punjab for endorsement.
The Governing Body has also approved development of large scale nursery on area of 1000 kanals by PHA with the collaboration of WASA Rawalpindi. The 5500 kanals land is available with WASA for construction of waste water treatment plant at Adyala Road. The Director General RDA Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa thanked all the members who attended the meeting.
