INP: The Embassy of the UAE in Turkey has launched a promotional campaign in Istanbul for the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28). This important conference is scheduled to take place at Expo City Dubai from November 30th to December 12th, 2023.
To mark the launch of this campaign, UAE Ambassador to Turkey, Asaeed Thani Al Dhaheri, conducted a press briefing to outline the goals and objectives of hosting COP28 in the UAE. The conference aims to unite global efforts in the realm of climate action and identify opportunities to address climate challenges comprehensively.
Ambassador Al Dhaheri expressed his anticipation of Turkey’s active participation in COP28, including the involvement of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He further emphasized the UAE’s commitment to using this event as a catalyst for advancing global initiatives to mitigate the impacts of climate change. Notably, COP28 is expected to conclude the first-ever global stock take, marking a significant milestone in the global climate journey.
