Meeting of the Pakistan-Denmark Joint Committee Convenes in Islamabad

Islamabad (Radio Pakistan): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hosts Inaugural Meeting of Pakistan-Denmark Joint Committee in Islamabad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad played host to the first meeting of the Joint Committee, marking the initiation of the Green Framework Engagement between Pakistan and Denmark.

Ambassador Syed Haider Shah led the Pakistani delegation, while Ambassador Jakob Linulf headed the Danish team. Both sides expressed their enthusiasm for the Green Framework Engagement and committed to taking tangible steps to translate it into practical cooperation. Key areas of focus include Energy Efficiency, Green Transition, and Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation.

In August of the previous year, Pakistan and Denmark inked the Green Framework Engagement, signaling their intent to deepen collaboration in the realm of green and sustainable development. Following this, a joint Action Plan was finalized in June of the current year. The effective implementation of this Framework and Action Plan is expected to contribute significantly to Pakistan’s pursuit of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
