Lahore : Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, while addressing a ceremony, has extended heartfelt tributes to the people of Pakistan, its leadership, and the Armed Forces for their exemplary role in the country’s recent historic triumph. He remarked that words are insufficient to express gratitude to Almighty Allah for honouring Pakistan with victory on every front.Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that vision and bravery of Former Prime Minister of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif transformed Pakistan into a nuclear power, thereby rendering its defence impenetrable. He also lauded the leadership of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Ishaq Dar, Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Information Minister Mr. Attaullah Tarar and the Armed Forces of Pakistan for their exemplary leadership and resolve across all fronts.
He also said that Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has effectively conveyed Pakistan’s stance to the leadership of friendly nations, while Deputy Prime Minister Mr.Ishaq Dar played a pivotal role in maintaining robust international diplomatic engagement.
While Commenting on shameful and unprovoked aggression of India , Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq stated that the Pakistan Armed Forces delivered a strong and effective response, decisively repelling enemy aggression. The entire nation stood united alongside its military, resulting in a crushing defeat for the adversary. “It was often said that India possessed superior weaponry and advanced aircraft, but our valiant soldiers have demonstrated that true strength lies in courage, spirit, and professional excellence,” he said.
He emphasised that the capabilities of Pakistan’s Armed Forces are unmatched anywhere in the world. By engaging in over 50 minutes of intense aerial and ground combat, they unequivocally demonstrated Pakistan’s strength and resilience. He commended the collaborative spirit of the nation’s leadership, armed forces, and the people, hailing it as a model of unity.
Speaker Saradar Ayaz Sadiq reiterated Pakistan’s condemnation of the Pulwama attack and its offer for an independent and impartial investigation. However, he condemned India’s baseless accusations and threats to cut off water supplies, describing them as acts of open hostility and tantamount to a declaration of war. “Pakistan neither supports terrorism, nor has it ever done so, nor will it in the future,” he stated, adding that the country has sacrificed over 90,000 lives in the fight against terrorism—a fact of which every Pakistani is justifiably proud.
He further noted that the drones used by India were of Israeli origin—the same type deployed in Gaza against innocent children, women, and hospitals. Pakistan’s Armed Forces not only thwarted enemy advances on land but also neutralised the aerial threat by successfully downing these drones.
