Health Minister Visits Samaan-e-Shifa Foundation
Karachi : Federal Minister for Health, Mustafa Kamal paid a visit to the Samaan-e-Shifa Foundation in Karachi, where he met with the Foundation’s Executive Director and members of the Board.
During the visit, the Minister was given a detailed briefing on the state-of-the-art ventilators developed locally in Pakistan by the Foundation. The innovation represents a significant stride in the field of indigenous medical technology.
Minister Mustafa Kamal commended the development of these modern ventilators and termed it an important breakthrough in Pakistan’s journey toward self-reliance in healthcare technologies.
The meeting also included discussions on the broader scope of producing medical equipment locally and the potential avenues for government support in this domain. The Minister emphasized that local manufacturing of advanced medical devices is a promising step and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting domestic industry in this vital sector.
He added that the government is focused on taking practical steps to promote the local medical technology industry so that Pakistan can move toward self-sufficiency and provide high-quality healthcare services to its citizens.
