Islamabad : Chairman Senate Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has extended heartfelt greetings to the Sikh community in Pakistan and around the world on the joyous occasion of Baisakhi.
In his congratulatory message, the Chairman Senate said that Baisakhi brings a message of happiness, love, brotherhood, and the arrival of spring. He emphasized that Pakistan is a multi-cultural country where people of all faiths enjoy complete freedom to live according to their beliefs and traditions.
Chairman Gilani further stated that the Sikh community plays an important role in the social, economic, and cultural development of Pakistan. He added that their religious festivals contribute significantly to promoting interfaith harmony and tolerance in the country. Highlighting the equal rights and freedoms enjoyed by religious minorities across Pakistan, he reaffirmed that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees equal rights to all citizens.
