Islamabad – Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of senior politician, intellectual, and prominent leader Senator Taj Haider. In his condolence message, he termed the late senator as a shining chapter in the political history of Pakistan and said that Taj Haider’s long struggle for the country, democracy, and public rights is unforgettable.
The Chairman Senate stated that Senator Taj Haider was not only a principled and ideological politician but also a symbol of intellectual guidance, integrity, and public service. His contributions will always be remembered. His demise is a great loss for the nation.
He extended heartfelt sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that Allah Almighty grant the departed soul a place in His infinite mercy and bestow patience and strength upon the bereaved family.
Acting Chairman Senate Senator Syedal Khan also expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise of Senator Taj Haider in his condolence message and paid rich tribute to his national services. He stated that Taj Haider was always a flag-bearer of principled politics.
Leader of the House in the Senate, Senator Ishaq Dar, termed the demise of the late senator a national tragedy and said that Taj Haider’s wisdom and political foresight will always continue to provide guidance.
Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, Senator Syed Shibli Faraz, also expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Senator Taj Haider and said that he was a dignified and composed politician whose absence will always be felt.
