Islamabad (VOM) : The embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized a diplomatic reception to celebrate the “Republic Day of Kazakhstan.”
The ceremony was also attended by the Embassies of fraternal countries – Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Tajikistan, Iran, Ambassadors European countries, Business community, military personnels, civil society and media.
The guests of the Kazakh ‘dastarkhan tasted national dishes and soup of various grains.
Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, highlighted the importance of the Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The ambassador also spoke about the history of the Republic Day of Kazakhstan and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, K. Tokayev’s initiatives.
Kazakhstan celebrates a cherished treasure of Kazakh culture, on National Day. The soul-stirring sounds of this remarkable instrument have transcended the Kazakh steppes for centuries, captivating hearts and preserving the rich heritage of Kazakhstan. The Kazakhs set up yurts, indulge in delicacies, and dance the night away to folk music! They also dress up in traditional fashion for the ceremony.
Chief guest, Caretaker Federal Minister of Railways Shahid Ashraf Tarar said Pakistan and Kazakhstan enjoyed brotherly relations.
There were tremendous opportunities that stand untapped, he said, adding both the countries were working to enhance trade volume and people-to-people exchanges. He also emphasized the importance of relations between Kazakhstan and Pakistan and the need for further progressive development.
Shahid Ashraf Tarar extended his congratulations to Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin, his government, and fellow countrymen on their Republic Day.
He reciprocated this goodwill by highlighting the friendly relationship between Pakistan and Kazakhstan, stressing the need for close collaboration to promote peace and stability, especially within the region.
Independence Day should be observed as a day of remembrance for national heroes who contributed significantly to gaining independence. Republic Day serves as a reminder of the state’s commitment to democracy, peace, and stability, highlighting the values and principles that Kazakhstan stands for, with a strong emphasis on freedom, unity, and equality.
As the people of Kazakhstan on this day commemorate their declaration of sovereignty, we reaffirm the Pakistan’s commitment to Kazakhstan’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity. We commend Kazakhstan’s steadfast leadership since independence in advancing global dialogue and efforts toward international peace and security. We note our continuing support for President Tokayev’s reform agenda and recall our strong support for its full implementation to build public confidence in government, increase government accountability, and protect human rights.
On this day, we recognize that shared challenges are best solved jointly, and, in the spirit of our two countries’ enduring friendship, we look forward to partnering together on global challenges to advance our shared priorities of peace, prosperity, and stability for the benefit of both our countries’ peoples.
A prominent Kazakhstan singer sang the national anthem of Kazakhstan and also mesmerised the audience with some beautiful songs.
