Islamabad: President COPAIR Amna Munawwar Awan met with the Ambassador of Russia H.E. Danila V.Ganich to discuss areas of mutual cooperation to improve Pakistan and they also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation and increase people-to-people contact.
President COPAIR mentioned that Pakistan highly valued its relations with Russia and such meetings could play a pivotal role in promoting people-to-people contacts. They hoped that existing bilateral relations between the two countries will be further strengthened through mutual cooperation and understanding.
H.E Mr. H.E. Danila V.Ganich, Ambassador of Russia to Pakistan said Pakistan is our friend and a reliable partner. We support each other in many crucial areas such as being committed to traditional family values. I would like to highlight that Russia is home to 19 million Muslims. We have over 800 big mosques all across the country. Russian Christians, Muslims and other confessions live side by side in peace.
Ambassador underscored that Russia attached immense importance to its relations with Pakistan and desired to further diversify those ties through active parliamentary diplomacy. He agreed to focus on strengthening bilateral institutional collaboration; enhance the frequency of exchange of delegations further increasing high-level contacts and exploring new avenues of cooperation.
Amna Munawwar Awan highlighted that Pakistan had huge potential for investment in various sectors and reiterated the full support of the Government of Pakistan to the potential Russia investors in various sectors. She said that Pakistan was a country with 68 percent of the population comprising youth. She proposed Russian Ambassador to work together on enriching the youth with modern IT and AI skills as advancement in research modern technology.
