Renowned American actor Erik Jensen’s wife, Jessica Blank, has initiated a fundraising campaign following the actor’s stage four cancer diagnosis, as reported by Western media on Wednesday.
Dubbed ‘GoFundMe,’ this campaign aims to alleviate the mounting medical expenses incurred by Erik’s treatment for stage four colorectal cancer. Jessica, speaking to the media, disclosed her husband’s condition, lauding his strength and resilience in the face of adversity. She shared that the cancer had metastasized to Erik’s liver, but medical professionals remained optimistic about its potential reduction through two significant surgeries.
Notably, Erik had previously overcome a brain aneurysm just a year and a half ago, showcasing his remarkable resilience.
Jessica also voiced concerns about the SAG-AFTRA strike that had halted Hollywood, highlighting the financial challenges faced by numerous actors due to the absence of streaming residuals over the years.
Erik’s devoted fans have rallied behind the campaign, with reports indicating that a generous sum of $96,000 has been collected within a week. This noteworthy show of support comes in the wake of Jessica setting a fundraising goal of $300,000.
