Senator Mandviwalla Meets Omani Ambassador to Discuss Trade Enhancement and Future Economic Cooperation

Islamabad: Chief Whip Senate, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, met today with the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Pakistan, Mr. Fahad Sulaiman Khalaf Al Kharusi, at Senate Secretariat p. The meeting, focused on strengthening the long-standing brotherly ties between Pakistan and Oman, with a particular emphasis on enhancing bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

Senator Mandviwalla noted the current level of trade between the two nations, which stands at approximately $500-$600 million annually, and expressed concern that this figure does not reflect the true potential of their economic relationship. He stressed that there is an urgent need to boost trade and economic connectivity, particularly as both nations share numerous cultural and historical commonalities.

The meeting concluded with both sides expressing their commitment to fostering safe and secure investments, and anticipating the success of the upcoming high-level visit to further enhance economic development.
