Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar met with Ma Xingrui, a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CCPC) and Party Secretary of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Friday. During the meeting, he reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to its friendship with China, emphasizing that the relationship with China serves as the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy and plays a crucial role in maintaining regional peace and fostering development.
Prime Minister Kakar fondly recollected his meetings with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang in Beijing, acknowledging the strong personal dedication of the Chinese leadership to further fortify the bilateral ties between the two nations. He reiterated the significance of Xinjiang for Pakistan, highlighting the region’s unique importance due to its geographical, historical, and cultural connections with Pakistan.
