The nation of Pakistan has the unwavering diplomatic, moral, and political support of the Palestinian people, according to Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Gen. Syed Asim Munir.
On Tuesday, he presided over the 260th Corps Commanders Conference (CCC) at the GHQ. During the holy month of Rabi’ al-Awwal, the martyrs of the Mastung, Hangu, and Zhob incidents received Fateha from the meeting’s attendees.
According to a news statement from the ISPR, the forum also paid rich tribute to the supreme sacrifices made regularly by the security services in defense of the country while battling the threat of terrorism. The participants reached a consensus that all terrorists, as well as those who aid them in their efforts to destabilize Pakistan at the direction of hostile powers, would be dealt with by the state with unwavering resolve. The forum received a briefing on the current geostrategic environment, threats to national security, and its own response strategy.
The meeting’s attendees reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s commitment to protecting Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity from all direct and indirect threats.
The meeting watched the developments in the Israel-Gaza conflict and the staggering toll on innocent civilians brought on by Israel’s excessive use of force with concern.
The COAS gave a speech at the event and declared, “The Palestinian people have the unqualified diplomatic, moral, and political support of the Pakistani nation. We will continue to support the principled stance of our brethren for an end to the illegal occupation of their territories and Muslim holy sites.” The participants committed to give all possible support for the general well-being of the Pakistani people in order to fully support the strategic initiatives planned by the Pakistani government for the revival of the economy.
The conference also conducted a comprehensive analysis of the actions being taken to combat illegal economic activity. The COAS emphasized that the Pakistan Army would continue to give the government and LEAs their full cooperation in enforcing stringent legal measures against unlawful economic activity throughout the nation. In order to rid the nation of the detrimental effects of such unethical behaviors, actions against hoarding and smuggling mafias and cartels would be reinforced further in the coming days.
The forum decided to endorse the federal government’s decision to expel and repatriate all illegal foreigners starting on November 1, 2023, in full. The COAS ordered all parties involved to support and facilitate the safe, respectable, and easy return of all unlawful foreigners. The ISPR determined that he placed a strong emphasis on upholding high levels of professionalism and motivation throughout operations and achieving excellence during the training of the formations.
