Islamabad : Country Head USAID Pakistan Veeraya (Kate) Somvongsiri called on Chairman P&D Standing Committee Syed Abdul Kadir Gillani at National Assembly.
Veeraya (Kate) Somvongsiri provided a detailed briefing on the wide-ranging projects undertaken by USAID in South Punjab, emphasizing key sectors such as health, education, and energy. In the health sector, USAID is working to improve access to quality medical services and strengthen healthcare infrastructure to address the needs of underserved populations. In education, the organization is focused on enhancing educational facilities, promoting teacher training, and increasing access to learning opportunities, particularly for girls and marginalized communities. Additionally, USAID’s efforts in the energy sector aim to provide sustainable and affordable energy solutions, fostering economic growth and improving living standards in the region. These initiatives collectively reflect USAID’s commitment to promoting development and resilience in South Punjab.
Syed Abdul Kadir Gillani invited Veeraya (Kate) Somvongsiri and USAID delegation to visit Multan and his constituency and asked to take NGO’s Project initiative in his constituency.
