PESHAWAR: The Higher Education Department (HED) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has instructed government colleges to stop their ongoing associate degree programs and instead transform them into Bachelor of Science (BS) programs. A notification has been issued, stating that students already enrolled in associate degree programs can continue until they complete their degrees. Additionally, it has directed the college principals to seek approval from their respective directorates to introduce market-oriented BS programs starting from the current academic session. This change aims to offer higher education opportunities that align with international standards at a more affordable cost.
