Canadian police accuse Indian diplomats of ‘criminal’ activities including homicides
Ottawa : Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced while addressing a news conference.
He said Canadian government has clear and compelling evidence that agents of the government of India have engaged in and continue to engage in activities that pose a significant threat to public safety.
It is pertinent to mention that four Indian nationals have been arrested in connection with Nijjar’s murder, which took place in the parking lot of a Sikh temple in Vancouver in June 2023.
Canada has expelled six Indian diplomats, including Indian High Commissioner Sanjay Verma.
Canadian law enforcement has revealed that it possesses evidence implicating Indian diplomats and the Indian government in acts of terror, criminal activities, and homicides targeting pro-Khalistan Sikhs on Canadian soil.
The authorities claim Indian diplomats were directly involved in orchestrating these criminal plots, marking a significant development in the ongoing diplomatic row between the two nations.
