Islamabad: The 1st meeting of the National Assembly’s Sub-Committee of the Special Committee was convened the Constitution Room, Parliament House. The session, held in-camera, was chaired by Mr. Naveed Qamar, MNA, and focused on discussing, analyzing, and formulating recommendations concerning the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly, 2007 and the Privileges of the Members.
This meeting marks the beginning of a comprehensive review aimed at enhancing parliamentary procedures and safeguarding the privileges of the members, ensuring a more efficient legislative process.
The meeting was attended by Hon. MNAs, Ms. Shahida Begum and Mr. Pullain, as Special Invitees. Additionally, representatives from the Ministry of Law and Justice and the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs were present to contribute to the discussions.
