Foreign Office in Islamabad conducts a briefing session for resident Diplomatic Missions

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad, hosted a briefing session on Friday (September, 01, 2023) for resident Diplomatic Missions regarding the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). The briefing session led by the Foreign Secretary.

Dr. Jehanzeb Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Government Effectiveness, delivered an extensive presentation to brief the diplomatic corps about the establishment and various facets of the Council.

Specifically, he (Dr. Jehanzeb Khan) emphasized investment prospects in Pakistan across four pivotal sectors: Information Technology, Energy, Agriculture and Mining. The attending diplomatic missions were urged to inform and motivate their respective countries to explore the potential benefits of Pakistan’s abundant resources.

Recently, the government established the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) as a ‘One-Window’ platform, aiming to streamline decision-making processes and foster states Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
