Sukkur: Despite the end of the monsoon spell, the lower areas of Old Sukkur are still flooded with rainwater due to the incompetence of the municipal administration. The cleaning staff is absent, and the Mayor and other officers are sleeping. The poor people are suffering, and no one is listening to their complaints.
The areas of Mirrani Mohalla, Numaish Ground, and other lower areas of Old Sukkur are still inundated with rainwater, causing severe difficulties for the residents. The affected residents, including Rais Abro, Piyar Ali Mirrani, Azam Mehar, and others, said that despite repeated complaints to the Union Council 6’s Ward 3 and 4 Councilor, Chairman Nisar Qureshi, and Vice Chairman Farhan Sheikh, the rainwater has not been drained from the Mirrani Mohalla-Nomaish Ground road even after four days of the end of the monsoon spell.
They demanded that action be taken against the incompetent public representatives and officers of the Sukkur Municipal Administration and that the dirty water be drained from the area and the road be repaired. Otherwise, they will stage a protest.
