Islamabad – A meeting took place between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, and the Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Climate Change of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Ms. Romina Khurshid Alam.
During the meeting, the two sides explored the prospects of bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan in the fields of ecology and combating climate change. Special attention was given to the exchange of experiences and technologies for mitigating the effects of climate change, and the possibilities for joint implementation of environmental projects.
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the two countries to achieve common goals in environmental protection and sustainable development.
During the meeting, Ambassador Kistafin extended an official invitation for participation in the ministerial conference of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) on ecological issues, scheduled for August 28, 2024, in an online format.
Ms. Romina Khurshid Alam expressed gratitude for the invitation and emphasized Pakistan’s readiness to actively participate in the upcoming conference. Speaking about the bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan, she declared Pakistan’s readiness to participate in the work of bilateral working groups.
