Islamabad : Minister for industries and production Rana Tanveer Hussain said that the government is taking steps to facilitate the business community and common man.
The minister said while talking to a delegation of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) led by its President Atif Ikram Sheikh.
He said that the government is setting up special economic zones for investment whereas he stressed that economic development could be achieved only by increasing exports.
The government is trying to solve the problems faced by the industry, he added.
President FPCCI said that energy prices will have to be brought at par with regional countries.
In order to get rid of Interntional Monetary Fund (IMF) and increase domestic exports, we have to go towards industrialization.
If the government provides relief in the electricity tariff, the business community can achieve the export target of 60 billion dollars, said Atif Ikram Sheikh.
