The security forces killed up to ten terrorists on Tuesday during an Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) based on reports of their location in the broad Pezu area of District Tank. Terrorists and Army soldiers engaged in a fierce firefight throughout the operation, according to a news release from Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR). The ISPR also stated that these terrorists continued to aggressively engage in a variety of terrorist attacks against security personnel as well as extortion and the murder of innocent bystanders. During the raid, a sizable cache of weapons, ammo, and explosives was also found. The inhabitants in the vicinity valued the operation, it was added. The new release stated that Pakistan’s security forces were committed to eradicating the threat of terrorism from the nation.
