The Saudi SME Authority will assist Pakistani IT firms in expanding their operations in the Kingdom

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority of Saudi Arabia has announced its collaboration with Pakistan to support the expansion of Pakistani IT companies and startups within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This development was communicated by Caretaker Minister for Information Technology, Umar Saif, through a post on the social media platform X.

Minister Umar Saif further disclosed that Pakistan will host an annual Digital Direct Foreign Investment summit for all member states of the Digital Cooperation Organization, indicating Pakistan’s commitment to promoting digital cooperation.

Moreover, Dr. Omar Saif mentioned that Islamabad is actively partnering with the Digital Cooperation Organization to develop a ‘digital passport’ for Pakistani companies. This initiative aims to facilitate a streamlined process for Pakistani businesses to establish themselves in member countries of the organization.

The Caretaker IT minister is currently in Saudi Arabia, leading a delegation of tech companies with the objective of exploring business opportunities in the Kingdom.
