RAWALPINDI : In compliance with the directives of the Divisional Intelligence Committee, the Task Force continues its rigorous operations against illegal housing schemes. Recently, the RDA Enforcement Squad targeted four schemes including Centaury Town, Taqwa Town, Green Enclave, and Rawat Enclave in Mouza Bagga Sheikhan, Gurha Bertha and on Main Kallar Syedan Road in Rawat, Rawalpindi. The operation led to the sealing and demolition of site offices, containers, boundary walls, curb stones, and plot dividers.
A spokesperson from the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) stated that this operation is supervised by Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Muhammad Abdul Aamer Khattak, along with the Director General (DG) RDA, the Additional DG RDA, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi, and the Chief Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi.
The DG RDA Kinza Murtaza affirmed that under the Commissioner’s guidance, the crackdown on illegal housing societies will persist vigorously to prevent fraud and protect citizens from exploitation. She noted that public complaints regarding illegal land occupation by housing scheme owners are being taken seriously, and strict measures will be enforced against those engaging in forceful land grabs.
The RDA regularly issues press releases to inform the public and advises citizens to avoid investing in illegal housing schemes. Instead, the public is encouraged to visit the RDA website (www.rda.gop.pk) and only engage with approved housing schemes.
Despite previous warnings to cease illegal advertisements, bookings, and development, the owners of the aforementioned housing schemes continued to operate booking offices in violation of regulations.

Key team members were Muhammad Usman Bajwa, Assistant Director Building Control RDA / Incharge Enforcement Squad, Shiza Butt, Assistant Director Planning RDA, along with RDA Scheme/Building Inspectors and other team members.
