Caretaker Punjab government commits to giving people the greatest facilities: John Akram

Caretaker Punjab Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education, Dr. Javed Akram, has emphasized that providing the best healthcare services to patients in public hospitals is the government’s top priority.

He made this statement during the inaugural session of the Vice Chancellors, Principals, and MS (Medical Superintendent) Conference held in Lahore on Saturday.

Dr. Akram highlighted the significance of offering primary angioplasty services to cardiac patients, noting that it has proven to be a transformative development. He mentioned that over eight thousand patients have already benefited from angioplasty procedures.

Furthermore, Dr. Akram instructed officials to expedite the health screening of healthcare professionals and underscored the government’s efforts to enhance human resources in public hospitals.

Dr. Jamal Nasir, the Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare, also spoke at the event, emphasizing that public service is the sole agenda of the caretaker government. He praised the dedicated efforts of the Primary and Secondary Healthcare department, which operates around the clock to serve the people.
