According to Murtaza Solangi, minister of information and broadcasting, projects started with Chinese investment under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in a number of sectors, including energy and basic infrastructure, have given Pakistan’s economy a fresh look.
He claimed in an interview with China Radio International that CPEC is now entering a new phase that includes initiatives like the ML-1 railway line.
He claimed that major mass transit and infrastructure projects, including the Orange Line Train, had already been finished under CPEC.
The Minister expressed confidence that Special Economic Zones will receive particular attention in the CPEC’s next phase. According to him, initiatives totaling more than 26 billion dollars have already begun, and new ones are prepared to debut.
Murtaza Solangi expressed optimism that a new era of collaboration between the two nations will likely start in October of this year during a visit to China by Pakistani leadership.
He claimed that in the shifting global order, where new blocs are being formed, the friendship between Pakistan and China is stronger than ever. He predicted that the friendship between Pakistan and China would grow in the future.
