(APP): In a reaffirmation of his commitment to serving the people, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani declared his unwavering dedication to resolving the challenges faced by the populace, particularly in the South Punjab region. He assured that funding allocated for South Punjab would be directed towards projects aimed at enhancing public welfare and advancing the development agenda in the area, pledging to take all necessary measures to ensure the progress of ‘Waseb’.
Gilani expressed these sentiments during a meeting with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Faisal Kareem Kundi and various delegates at the Multan Circuit House on Tuesday. Discussions between the Chairman Senate and the KP Governor revolved around matters of mutual interest, reflecting a shared commitment to addressing the needs of the people.
Earlier in the day, the Chairman Senate engaged with several delegations comprising notable figures from Multan, including Makhdoom Syed Shamail Shah, Haji Altaf Gara, A. D. Khan Baloch, Malik Munir Arain, Chaudhry Usman, and Ali Mehdi. These delegations expressed their gratitude to Gilani for his efforts in addressing their concerns and acknowledged his role in driving development initiatives in South Punjab.
Highlighting some of the key projects spearheaded by Gilani, the delegates cited the upgradation of Multan airport to an international standard, the construction of flyovers, road carpeting in the city, and the development of motorways as significant milestones that have positively impacted the region. They commended Gilani for his vision centered on development and expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of Multan.
