RAWALPINDI : In the light of the directives of the Divisional Intelligence Committee, the Task Force is carrying out spectacular operations against illegal housing schemes. The Task Force has demolished site office,four check posts, main access gate, boundary walls and road infrastructure while carrying out a grand operation against two illegal housing schemes including Faisal Town Phase-II and Pakistan Employees Cooperative Housing Society in Mouza Kolian Per, Pilo and Thalian Rawalpindi, RDA spokesperson said.
He said on the directions of the Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Muhammad Abdul Aamer Khattak, the DG RDA, the DC Rawalpindi and CPO Rawalpindi are supervising operations against illegal housing societies.
The DG RDA Kinza Murtaza said that on the instructions of the Commissioner Rawalpindi, grand operations against all illegal societies will be continue across the board to stop fraud of illegal housing schemes and looting of the citizens.
She said that complaints were received from the general public about illegal occupation of the owners of illegal housing schemes. Strict actions will be taken against those who take possession of land by force of arms.
She said that the owners of the housing schemes who have completed the legal documents have been given the possession of the land. The RDA has been issuing press releases from time to time for the information of the general public. The citizens should not invest in illegal housing schemes and requested to visit RDA website www.rda.gop.pk and advised to buy and sell only from approved housing schemes.
According to the authorities, previously notices were issued to the owners and sponsors of above mentioned housing scheme to stop illegal advertisements, bookings and development.
The owners of these properties were running booking offices of illegal housing scheme in violation of the rules.
The operation team including Muhammad Usman Bajwa, Assistant Director Building Control RDA, Mehwish Naseem Assistant Director Planning with police team from Police Station Dhamial, Naseerabad, RDA Scheme/Building Inspectors, District Administration Representative along with other team members taken grand operation jointly.
