The Chinese spacecraft Chang’e6, which is slated to launch on May 3, will carry Pakistan’s “historic” lunar mission (ICUBE-Q), according to a report released on Tuesday.
The Institute of Space Technology, in partnership with Shanghai University in China and SUPARCO, the national space agency of Pakistan, created and developed ICUBE-Q.
The APP stated that the “ICUBE-Q orbiter carries two optical cameras to image the lunar surface.” “ICUBE-Q has now been integrated with the Chang’e 6 mission following successful qualification and testing.”
China is about to undertake the first-ever mission to gather samples from the Moon’s far side.

The Chinese mission seeks to retrieve samples that contain material expelled from the lunar mantle in order to provide light on the past of the solar system, the moon, and Earth.
As stated on the Institute of Space Technology website, member governments of the Asia Pacific Space Cooperation Organization are permitted to deploy student-built payloads to the Moon as part of their mission by China’s national space agency.
After a thorough evaluation, the Pakistani university created a device that was chosen for the intended use.
