Canada and Pakistan have decided to increase their collaboration in all areas of shared interest.
This occurred during the fifth round of bilateral political consultations between Canada and Pakistan in Ottawa.
The two parties explored every aspect of their bilateral relationship and found areas of opportunity and potential for future collaboration, particularly in the areas of investment, trade, education, parliamentary exchanges, counterterrorism, and people-to-people interactions.
The Pakistani team was led by Additional Foreign Secretary (Americas) Mariam Aftab, who extended an invitation to Canadian businesses to engage in Pakistan’s mining, IT, and energy industries.
