Rupee drops 4 paisas versus the US dollar

23 April, ISLAMABAD : In interbank trade on Tuesday, the value of the Pakistani Rupee fell by 4 paisas versus the US dollar, finishing at Rs 278.37 as opposed to Rs 278.33 the day before.
However, the purchasing and selling rates of the dollar on the open market were Rs 277.5 and Rs 280.25, respectively, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP).
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) reports that the Euro’s price rose by 53 paisa to close at Rs 297.16, up from the previous day’s closing of Rs 296.63.

The British Pound saw a reduction of 28 paisa in exchange rates, closing at Rs 343.98 from the previous closure of Rs 344.26. In contrast, the Japanese Yen saw no change, closing at Rs 1.79.
The Saudi Riyal and the Emirates Dirham closed at Rs 74.21 and Rs 75.79, respectively, up 01 paisa apiece.
