Rawalpindi Police Conducts Awareness Seminars at Fatima Jinnah Women University
Rawalpindi : In an effort to promote awareness and education on crucial societal issues, Rawalpindi Police recently organized two seminars at Fatima Jinnah Women University in collaboration with its Student Affairs Office. The seminars aimed to shed light on the functioning of the Women Harassment Cell and Pakistan Animal Abuse Center, emphasizing their roles in addressing prevalent issues in society.
The first seminar focused on the Women Harassment Cell, offering insights into its operational mechanisms and how it serves as a vital resource for women facing harassment. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the procedures for reporting incidents and the support systems available to victims. Inspector Bushra Batool, from the Women Harassment Cell, led the session, providing valuable information and answering queries from the audience which comprised both students and faculty members of various disciplines.
In the second seminar, the spotlight turned to the Pakistan Animal Abuse Center, with experts sharing insights into their efforts to combat animal cruelty and promote animal welfare. Dr. Arsalan Athar, Incharge of the Center, discussed the importance of raising awareness about animal rights and the various services provided by the organization. Attendees gained a deeper understanding of the significance of preventing animal abuse and the role they can play in advocating for animal welfare.
Both seminars received positive feedback from attendees, who expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage with representatives from Rawalpindi Police and gain valuable knowledge on these important societal issues. The events underscored the commitment of Rawalpindi Police to fostering a safer and more inclusive community, where both women and animals are protected and their rights upheld. Towards the end, Dr Sajida Naz and Dr Sadia Aleem, organizers of the event, thanked the police department for conducting these awareness sessions.
