Islamabad : In a steadfast commitment to address the urgent needs of Baluchistan’s recent flood-affected residents, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has successfully completed the distribution of 9,000 essential food packages across three districts in holy month of Ramadan. Among these, 8,000 food packages were distributed in Gwadar, 500 in Quetta, and 500 in the Chagai district.
This initiative was launched in response to the emergency relief efforts required following flash flooding induced by recent heavy rainfall. The distribution of these food packages has provided crucial nutrition to families in direneedsd and affected. Each package, weighing 97 kilograms, contains essential food items designed to sustain a family for an entire month. The contents include 80 kilograms of flour, 5 liters of cooking oil, 5 kilograms of sugar, 2 kilograms of dates, and 5 kilograms of Daal Chana.
The project was executed in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), local governments, and implemented through the coordinated efforts of KSRelief and its partner organizations Bright Star and Hayat Foundation. This distribution underscores KSRelief’s unwavering dedication to extending assistance to the most vulnerable populations in these districts. Approximately 63,000 individuals across these three districts are set to benefit from this humanitarian effort.
