The Health Minister held a meeting with Senior officials of DRAP including newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Obaidullah. CEO DRAP briefs the Federal Minister on the institution&#8217;s functions, performance, and challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While addressing to the DRAP officers, Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal said that &#8220;Our decisions directly impact human lives and the outcomes of our decisions and actions should benefit the common man.\u201d In this respect, the Minister directed that, &#8220;the elimination of counterfeit and substandard medicines is imperative.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We must protect human lives from potential threats at all costs,&#8221; says Syed Mustafa Kamal. He told that &#8220;a coordinated strategy will be developed in collaboration with provincial governments to eliminate counterfeit medicines.\u201d &#8220;Pharmaceutical industries and local manufacturing should be facilitated and DRAP&#8217;s policies should be conducive to investment so that foreign manufacturing companies prioritize investing in Pakistan,&#8221; says Syed Mustafa Kamal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Federal Health Minister emphasized \u201cto increase medicine exports by adopting international standards.
