{"id":2553,"date":"2023-10-24T12:32:59","date_gmt":"2023-10-24T12:32:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/?p=2553"},"modified":"2023-10-24T12:33:00","modified_gmt":"2023-10-24T12:33:00","slug":"next-mission-impossible-experiences-a-one-year-delay-as-actors-strike-continues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/?p=2553","title":{"rendered":"Next &#8216;Mission: Impossible&#8217; Experiences a One-Year Delay as Actors Strike Continues"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Mission.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2554\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Mission.jpg 800w, https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Mission-300x180.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Mission-768x461.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The eighth installment of the &#8220;Mission: Impossible&#8221; franchise is facing a one-year delay, which has prompted a reshuffling of release schedules for Hollywood studios due to an ongoing actors&#8217; strike that has now exceeded three months of work stoppage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paramount Pictures has decided to move the release date of the next &#8220;Mission: Impossible&#8221; from June 28 to May 23, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Production on the sequel to Christopher McQuarrie&#8217;s &#8220;Mission: Impossible \u2014 Dead Reckoning Part One&#8221; came to a halt in July while Tom Cruise and his team embarked on an international promotion tour for &#8220;Dead Reckoning.&#8221; Interestingly, the sequel was initially titled &#8220;Mission: Impossible \u2014 Dead Reckoning Part Two&#8221; but is now simply referred to as &#8220;Mission: Impossible.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While &#8220;Dead Reckoning&#8221; managed to gross $567.5 million globally, it fell short of the 2018 installment &#8220;Fallout&#8221; ($791.7 million globally) and the success of Cruise&#8217;s 2022 blockbuster &#8220;Top Gun: Maverick&#8221; ($1.5 billion).
