The meeting focused on Pakistan\u2019s ongoing IMF program and the macroeconomic stability achieved through the government\u2019s comprehensive reform agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The discussions highlighted Pakistan\u2019s commitment to implementing structural reforms and maintaining fiscal discipline, which have been instrumental in restoring economic stability and will be critical in driving sustainable growth, going forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underscored the progress made under the IMF\u2019s Extended Fund Facility (EFF), which has played a key role in stabilizing Pakistan\u2019s economy; setting it on the path of long-term recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He reaffirmed the government\u2019s resolve to sustaining the reform momentum, particularly in critical areas such as tax reform, energy sector efficiency, and private sector development. The Prime Minister assured Ms. Georgieva of Pakistan\u2019s commitment to economic prudence, efficiency, and sustainability as essential pillars for achieving inclusive and sustained growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Georgieva commended Pakistan\u2019s efforts in effectively implementing the IMF-supported program, highlighting the country\u2019s improving economic performance with rising growth and declining inflation. She recognized that Pakistan is on the path to growth and has undergone economic recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The IMF Managing Director also acknowledged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif\u2019s leadership and personal commitment to driving the country\u2019s reform agenda, which has been critical in achieving economic stability and progress.
