{"id":23258,"date":"2024-12-28T00:29:32","date_gmt":"2024-12-28T00:29:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/?p=23258"},"modified":"2024-12-28T00:29:33","modified_gmt":"2024-12-28T00:29:33","slug":"punjab-govt-decides-to-manufacture-agricultural-equipment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/?p=23258","title":{"rendered":"Punjab Govt decides to manufacture agricultural equipment"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"850\" height=\"474\" src=\"https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/21246366671735310199.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23259\" srcset=\"https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/21246366671735310199.jpg 850w, https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/21246366671735310199-300x167.jpg 300w, https:\/\/theasiantelegraph.global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/21246366671735310199-768x428.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 850px) 100vw, 850px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>CM Punjab Launches Record Farmer-Friendly Programs for Agricultural Uplift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lahore :&nbsp;Chief Minister&nbsp;Punjab&nbsp;Maryam Nawaz Sharif has set a record&nbsp;by launching&nbsp;a new project for&nbsp;the&nbsp;farmers.&nbsp; The&nbsp;biggest&nbsp;Kisan Card of its kind, Green Tractors Program, provision of super seeders, the largest agricultural graduates&#8217; internship program in the history of Pakistan have been launched for agricultural development in Punjab.&nbsp;Agricultural inputs worth more than Rs 30 billion have been purchased from&nbsp;the&nbsp;Kisan Card.&nbsp;For the first time in Punjab, there is ample availability of DAP and other fertilizers at fixed rates.&nbsp;99 percent of the total wheat cultivation target has been achieved in Punjab.&nbsp;5,000 tractors have arrived under the Green Tractors Program, out of which 2,500 tractors have been&nbsp;provided to the&nbsp;farmers.&nbsp;<br>Under the CM&nbsp;Punjab&nbsp;Green Tractors Program,&nbsp;a subsidy&nbsp;amounting to&nbsp;Rs 1 million per tractor&nbsp;is being provided.&nbsp;Agriculture graduates are busy guiding farmers in the field&nbsp;across Punjab.&nbsp;Young agriculture graduates will also get a monthly scholarship of Rs 60,000.&nbsp;Approval has been&nbsp;granted&nbsp;to&nbsp;establish&nbsp;a model agriculture mall in each district.&nbsp;Model agriculture malls are nearing completion in Multan, Bahawalpur, Sargodha and Sahiwal.&nbsp;Training of farmers, banking, modern agricultural machinery, pesticides, seeds, fertilizers will be available at the model agriculture malls.&nbsp;Crackdown is&nbsp;ongoing&nbsp;against fake and adulterated agricultural inputs&nbsp;by adopting a&nbsp;zero tolerance policy.&nbsp;Manuscript for carrying-out amendments&nbsp;to the&nbsp;\u2018Agriculture Pesticide Act&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;Fertilizer Control Act\u2019&nbsp;are ready for approval.&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>A&nbsp;program&nbsp;is also under consideration&nbsp;to convert 8,000 agricultural tube wells running on electricity to solar energy&nbsp;at&nbsp;a cost of Rs 9 billion.&nbsp;A project to restore canola gardens will be&nbsp;launched&nbsp;with a cost of Rs 1.5 billion.&nbsp;A&nbsp;principle&nbsp;decision has been made to establish Punjab Kisan Bank to provide easy loans to&nbsp;the&nbsp;farmers.&nbsp;A plan to promote the cultivation of canola, sesame and soybeans&nbsp;at&nbsp;a cost of Rs 2 billion&nbsp;40 crore is also under consideration.&nbsp;<br>Under the Agriculture&nbsp;Mechanization Policy, a&nbsp;principle&nbsp;decision&nbsp;has been&nbsp;to assemble and manufacture agricultural equipment in Punjab with the cooperation of China.&nbsp;A principle approval has been given to start a rental service for agricultural machinery across Punjab.<br>CM&nbsp;Maryam Nawaz Sharif said,&nbsp;\u201cIn the past,&nbsp;mere&nbsp;slogans were raised for&nbsp;the prosperity of&nbsp;farmers,&nbsp;only PML-N government works practically for the well-being of farmers.&nbsp;The trend of farming is increasing in Punjab.&nbsp;We have amply proved&nbsp;that the Punjab government is&nbsp;firmly standing&nbsp;with&nbsp;their&nbsp;farmer brothers and will not leave them alone&nbsp;under any circumstance.&nbsp;The prosperity of farmers and increase in agricultural production are among&nbsp;the first and foremost goals of the Punjab government.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CM Punjab Launches Record Farmer-Friendly Programs for Agricultural Uplift.
